Hello, I’m Jordan McGlinchey, a recent graduate with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Boise State University. As I embarked on my journey as a Marketing Intern at RescueStat, I was excited to apply the knowledge I had gained in the classroom to a real-world setting, contributing to a mission-driven organization.
Among different internship opportunities, RescueStat stood out to me for its inspiring objective and its close dynamic as a company. My goal was to be a part of a growing organization where my contributions would be impactful. Little did I anticipate that this decision would lead me to months filled with learning, growth, and purpose. I’m grateful for the chance to raise awareness about Sudden Cardiac Arrest while connecting with customers, both current and potential new, through an online presence.
When I took on this internship at the beginning of my final semester, I looked forward to applying my accumulated marketing skills. However, this internship not only grew my marketing understanding, but it also helped expand my knowledge and perspective on workplace safety. Learning about the life-saving potential of AEDs and the importance of immediate action in SCA emergencies has been very enlightening.
While my main role is centered around marketing, the inclusive and collaborative work environment has allowed me to understand different aspects of the business. I’ve come to appreciate that the work everyone does here is not just about selling a product, it’s about making a difference and saving lives.
As I finish up my internship, I carry with me not just marketing skills, but a deeper understanding of the impact an individual can make in the world of AED preparedness and workplace safety. I am very thankful to have had this amazing opportunity and I look forward to applying these lessons as I move on to the next chapter of my professional journey. Thank you RescueStat!
